Hey, I know that dreaded SHOCK, like a literal kick in the teeth. I went through similar feelings and like you, still love my ex. we were married for 15yrs +2 children when he decided to just up and go - so selfish. the best thing to do is surround yrself with as many people as possible (friends, family - people who love and care for you), even though you may not feel like being around them, just do it so yr not left alone with your thoughts for too long. Accept that you are going to go through a grieving process and please allow yrself to "feel" people who know you both will automatically jump sides, yr loyal friends will be the ones who will be yr great support. Get counselling and remember that time is a healer, you are worth so much more than that. Good luck!

You had to see it coming? Well, believe me, everything happens for a reason-even tho it doesn't feel very good right now. Probably means there is someone better who is supposed to come into your life. May not happen tomorrow, but it will happen. If your boyfriend truly cared for you, HE WOULD NOT OF DONE THIS TO YOU!! So realize how lucky you are this didn't go on until you did get married, it would really be messed up than. Get involved with friends, or make new friends, and start to do things you haven't done for the past 2 years. In time, life will get much better-you can count on it!!!

The best way to get over someone is give it time. It takes an average of 12 months for a girl to get over an ended relationship and it takes a guy approximately 6 months. Find something to replace what is missing; the time you spent with him should be spent doing something else (charity, hobby, etc...) Or you could find someone to take your mind of the situation, however the likelihood of this turning into anything other than a rebound relationship is small.

I was in a similar situation where I threw myself into work when it ended. I found a management position at my current company five months after the break up and thankfully it was another state. It did take me longer than the average six months but after I cut off complete contact I was fine.

Time is your answer - I can only speak from experience I was with the same woman for 22 years when she decided that it was over. I was devastated at first but over time things got easier and life gets better

best way to get over it is to give it time....there are always subtle signs which most seem to miss when they truly love the other...everything happens for a reason.....imagine if you were to spend the rest of you're life with him, not knowing he doesn't love you...that would probably hurt worse...take care...

Go lesbian or you could just move on. No sense dwelling in the past, grab a couple rebound guys, use em for awhile then you should be over your ex. It's easier when you just try to keep moving quick.

think of everything you didnt like about him, and just try to not think about him

if you really cant, and feel like you need him, he probably left you for another person, or he is gay

try to make him remember all the good times with you
