"The Jews have come from the tragedy (of the Holocaust), and forced the world to respect them, with their knowledge, not with their terror, with their work, not their crying and yelling. Humanity owes most of the discoveries and science of the 19th and 20th centuries to Jewish scientists. 15 million people, scattered throughout the world, united and won their rights through work and knowledge. We have not seen a single Jew blow himself up in a German restaurant. We have not seen a single Jew destroy a church. We have not seen a single Jew protest by killing people. The Muslims have turned three Buddha statues into rubble. We have not seen a single Buddhist burn down a Mosque, kill a Muslim, or burn down an embassy. Only the Muslims defend their beliefs by burning down churches, killing people, and destroying embassies. This path will not yield any results. The Muslims must ask themselves what they can do for humankind, before they demand that humankind respect them."

The author makes several errors of omission and generalization. Because several Jews were geniuses, were ALL Jews geniuses? Are the contributions of Arab Muslims to science and mathematics in the Middle Ages invalid because they were so long ago? In the same way, Taliban extremists do not characterize most Muslims.

There are Muslim suicide bombers, a tiny but alarming minority of the Muslim population. The Israelis apparently prefer to deliver their bombs by airplane or rocket. Zealots on either side have overtly expressed a wish to indiscriminately push the other side into the sea. Each feels paranoically persecuted and expresses no interest in understanding their contribution to the other's misery. But it is the worst kind of generalization to brand every adherent as an extremist.

Terrorism is a symptom, not an objective. The methodology is counterproductive, something like a sociological tantrum. But terrorists are not insane. They are desperate. They realize they have nothing to lose and act in despair to bring attention to the root problem. We don't want to "reward" them by listening, but treating the problem as an isolated criminal act only invites more desperate acts. They won't end until the underlying injustices are addressed. Is it better to be "right" or to solve a problem?

Any effective solution will require years of patience to allow the scars of hatred and persecution to heal. The author's premise is that a people does not deserve respect until they have earned it somehow, by good behaviour or contributions to the general good. But history suggests that respect is seldom forthcoming until a group becomes dangerous to humiliate. Consider the case of American slavery. No matter what they contributed to the American economy, black slaves had no chance for respect until the fires of Abolition were ignited, upsetting the power of the status quo. "Contributions", in the absence of any obligation on a culture's part, tend to get taken for granted.

Whoa there, who is illegally occupying whose land? Israel is on Palestinian land building "settlements" on the militarily strategic locations while tearing down the homes of civilian Arabs and not allowing them to acquire new building permits. Palestinians have to go through security checkpoints controlled by a foreign occupying force in THEIR OWN COUNTRY and live under martial law. I would be a tad upset if that were the case in America how about you?

So they should just give Israel their land and possessions and allow the radical Jews to do whatever they want? They are presented with an extremely technologically advanced enemy determined to take everything they have. How do iron age people fight a nuclear power on equal ground? How should the Native Americans have fought us? Two wrongs don't make a right but the Arabs don't stand a chance unless they use extreme measures. We wouldn't even be aware of it unless they had resorted to those tactics. I don't condone it but I do understand it.

One scientific argument against the life of god is going like this: a million. Hypothesize a God that performs an significant place in the universe. 2. anticipate God has particular attributes that would desire to furnish purpose information tor his life. 3. seek for such information with an open techniques. 4. If such information is got here upon, end that God would exist. 5. if such purpose information isn't got here upon, end previous a real looking doubt, that a God with those residences would not exist. God isn't resistant to disproof. Edit: Then what makes God a god?

Makes you wonder what the key is? Maybe like a secret of Judaism.

In an almost gnostic view, each time I see a person of Judaism I think to myself they have the spark and it is radiant.

Some people give blessings, some people already have them.

Stop with the trashing of other faiths. You are grouping all Muslims into one tidy group. Spread some love instead of hate.
