I see them all the time. It is so frustrating. I have to know, what does it mean? They hang there, large fish from fishing line, hanging over the road signs, filleted or not, always dried out from the sun. No one I know can give me the answer...What do you think?

I have never seen that here in the states. Some fish are considered "trash" fish and are often left lying around, but not on signposts. It must be a local joke.

The fish are hung on signs as an example to other fish that dare to venture out of the water. If we didn't terrorize fish they'd still be invading the land like they did a long time ago in the Devonian Period.

It's like when you see tennis shoes hanging over an electric line. It is one gang making the boundry of their territory so the other gang won't cross it. The Back Alley Bass vs. the River Road Carps -- bad gang fight!!!

Maybe the smell is intended to lure someone or something onto the property - or drive it off!
