Well if you were speeding, and caught in the act of doing so, it's inevitable that you are going to go to court, if that's what you mean. Speeding is dangerous. My father was killed by someone speeding on a highway, and ended up hitting him (in his car). Maybe you should just reconsider the idea of speeding. Because in my opinion, anyone who is speeding, deserves the summon they receive. Obey the law!

I have had good luck telling the truth.Policemen have reduced the actual amount of mph, or given me a warning the couple of times that I got pulled over. They said it was so refrshing to hear no denials and no bad attitude and no excuses. I just told the truth. My best answer was to a question of"Do you know why I pulled you over?" I said,"Yes, sir! I was speeding like a mad woman and you are about to give me the ticket, that I sooooo rightly deserve." When the officer quit laughing, he asked how fast I would like to say I was going," I Said, "68 or 69 mph" He said" I clocked you at a much higher speed than that" I laughed and told him, He didn't ask what speed I WAS doing, only what speed I would like to say, I was going. He laughed, gave me the ticket for 69 instead of 99. And I got to pay a fine of 75.00 instead of a mandatory court appearance and reckless driving .I don't break the law anymore, I figure you only get so many breaks in life, and I used up some big ones there!!!

Before the officer gets to your car, have your license, registration, and insurance card ready and your window rolled down. Apologize and acknowledge what you have done before the officer even tells you why he stopped you.
The police do not want to hear lame excuses. If you are polite and prepared, you stand a much better chance of getting a warning.
Of course, if you are caught going 20 mph or more over, you'll probably still get a ticket.

first of all, when you stop pull off somewhere safe for you and the officer. Then put you vehicle in park/first gear and shut the engine off. Put your keys on the dash and your hands high on the steering wheel. This makes the officer more comfortable on his approach. Then immediately appoligize for what ever you think the officer has stopped you for. This always works for me.

For the most part, There is no excuse that is valid.
You can ask for mercy, that is about all you can do.
The general exception to the rule is going to the hospital WITH somebody in DIRE need of medical care IN the vehicle.
(Take note of the words in emphasis)
BUT in no circumstance is it permissible to jeopardize anybody else while enroute.

Tell him you really have to use the restroom and can't wait much longer. Have a look of total discomfort on your face while you're talking to him and speak fast like you're in a hurry.

If you're a girl, its easy. Just say that you're having your period and you need to get to a bathroom. Works all the time.
If you're a guy... well unfortunately, the only thing that has 1/2 a chance of working is being apologetic and cooperative. Anything else, and it'll just blow up in your face.
