What should I do? I attend church every sunday but my spiritual life is dry. I just can't see God as my father or creator. And even if I do, I still don't feel like praying to Him.

If you forced yourself, then it wouldn't be sincere anyway, so what's the point? Maybe you need to find a different church that will inspire you ... or study on your own. Seek and you will find. When the student is ready, the teacher will appear.

I never go to church - but i think I pray about 15 times a day on a good day.I have had dry spells myself , but go through the motions w/ god and say a prayer anyways.Let god know how you feel. Let god know how distant you feel from him , he is a very loving God!Believe me I know. I was never taken to church as a child. My friend gave me a bible in 1997 , and I read the bible bit by bit in no certain order at first.Pick up the bible and in any spot you'll learn of God's love for us.There is a verse in the bible that gets me through - well 2 of them -- "even if we are faithless he will remain faithful for he cannot disown himself " , the 2ND " never will I leave you;never will I forsake you " -- and believe me he won't!!

God doesn't force people to do things, but He is the source of all that is good, therefore if its Good to talk to God and it is, He will grant us the desire. The problem is when we are distant, we fall away from Him, making it harder to Hear that invitation of Love He offers, so we feel less like talking with Him. Thats what Sin itself is, a wrong thinking, wrong heading attitude, that only God's Love can cure, as we get to know Him we listen to Him closer because we have an open heart to accept the Desires that are Good that He Himself gives.

If He were just a person we could say I like Him or I don't and be done with it, but since He is also the source, He offers us Himself and if we are close, we can draw closer, if we are far we usually fall further away, That is why He sent Christ, to make a free path to God, (free for us to choose to follow), but costly to Christ in His Sacrifice, and costly to us to sacrifice our selfishness and self centeredness as it conflicts with God's Goodness and often with the well being of others and ourselves as well.

You don't have to pray to god to know God- just open your eyes and ears - God is in the stranger you meet on the street, the next song you hear on the radio, the wind rustling through your hair, the sun shining on your face, and the snow melting on your tongue. God is in you and with you regardless of where you are. You don't even have to attend church to know God because you could never contain God in the first place.

I'd say the guilt stems from your upbringing and your previous religious practices - you've been taught so long that you must pray, that it's not uncommon to feel bad when you don't.

Sounds like you are having a dry spell. Maybe it's time to explore a little. Find a different church, find a different sect within Christianity, maybe even explore other religions.

Going to church ON Sunday if fine if that's a requirement of your church. But that not being and living a true Christian life. God need and wants to be a part of every moment of your life.

When you accepted Jesus Christ as Lord you became a new creation through the saving blood of Jesus Christ. You now find that every day is a day to tell God you love Him and give thanks for Him blessing you.><>

This is normal. We all do not FEEL the same all the times, and you should not base your spiritual life on feelings. Pray anyway. This is the best time to prove your devotion by continuing to pray despite dryness. Soon, the feelings will return, don't worry.

You have reached the beginning of wisdom. Further wisdom will be achieved when you understand that since neither the existence nor non-existence of god can be demonstrated by either logic or evidence, belief in any sort of god is totally useless because it cannot have any real-world consequences. (Incidentally, that is proveable.)
