OK well first of all you would have to understand what Christians are talking about .to be washed in the blood of Christ mean to have your sins washed away .
OK CHRIST DIED ON THE CROSS MANY YRS AGO TO SUFFER FOR OUR SIN SO WE CAN BE CLOSE TO GOD WHO CANNOT LOOK AT SIN HE IS PERFECT SO JESUS CAME TO HELP BRIDGE THE GAP SO WE CAN BE LOOKED AT BY THE HOLY ONE! OK another example is this i was once a heroin addict for many yrs and lived a life that was far from pure and committed many sins but when i came to Jesus and asked him to forgive me he did and not only did he forgive me completely and wash away my sin but now i have the Holy Spirit dwelling in me and i have a personal relationship with Jesus and he guides my days and loves me though this life because he cares about you AND I THAT'S WHY HE DOES IT ! and after 20 yrs of being stuck in a tailspin of horrilbe addiction I AM FREE !! THANKS TO JESUS AND HIS PRECIOUS BLOOD !AMEN! and god bless you to !

I never got a warm fuzzy feeling hearing about being washed in the blood. Washed? Blood is sticky!

I think writtings with this incorporated are strickly metaphoric in nature with some ties to paganism. It's supposed to be graphic for impressionistic purposes. The Bible should probably be rated at least R and not allowed to be taught to children.

I agree that its vulgar and creepy.
hell even metaphorically I think its creepy.
what force is limiting god to HAVING to have that in order to forgive? and it seems as though its not a very complete perfection if it would be so easily tainted.

Not really, because God said that blood is the life of people.
Its not something ghorry or whatever.
It just means that Jesus gave his life for us.

I don't think it's creepy. It's metaphorical rather than literal (well, at least in my religion - Lutheran).

how would you expect sins to be washed away? By Jesus cleaning out his earwax for our sins?
