i own 51 rental houses,1088 acre farm,6 stores.i pay a hell of a lot in taxes and it doesn't bother me one bit to support government programs that help people who have less.as a matter of fact it ticks me off that government keeps cutting back on these programs while giving themselves raises.
why does it bother you to help others.if one person who truly needs medical care or food gets it,then i could less about the two who screw the system.it's the government that waste the money, not the single mother who needs help,or the elderly person who needs to go to the doctor or buy medicine.what good is money if your neighbor goes without?

jhmhsi,i understand what you're saying to a certain extent but,why care for just yourself when you can share?my mother raised 5 children by herself and i constantly saw her go without her entire life.it is my mother who taught me how to give, even if it meant going without for yourself, the suffering of another is more than the suffering of yourself.i'm sorry you don't agree with that.even after i made more money than i could ever spend my mother still took what i gave her and gave it to those in need while continuing to wear her worn out shoes and tattered clothes.i love my mother very much, and she taught me one thing that i will never forget.help those who need it.

good for you. God loves a cheerful giver.
the schools around here are so poor you can look thru the holes in the ceilings at the wiring! Not to mention the bathrooms! it's a shame and much is needed. As you sow, so shall you reap!!!
Everything that you do will come back to you.

Do you own my apartment complex? Could you lower my rent please? $1000 a month for a studio is killing me.

Not that we're chatting but... I live in L.A., it's 1000 a month for a studio in a so-so neighborhood. Forget about buying around here. A lousy, dumpy fixer-uper is $500,000. I hate flushing 1000 bucks down the toilet every month but I don't want an "interest only" loan either. I'm in the wrong state.

Well, not everyone is as affluent as you are nor as generous. This is a world in which we need to fend for ourselves. Screw the neighbors... I don't even talk to them! The individual comes before the masses in the MIND of that individual, and that's how it should be. What good is helping out others if you can't even help out yourself?

I have a yacht, 16 cars, a mansion, lots of women and money to burn. The best part about it is i inherited it all. haha so i don't have to work a day in my life if i don't want too. I am worth millions. I don't care who gets foodstamps. I worry about my own dough and life.
