I have faith that if I don't show up to work Monday I will get fired.

Some answers are unknowable. God's existence can't be proved or disproved. In cases as this you get to decide what you believe. That is faith, believing without proof. I have doubts yet I don't let that hinder my faith.

Man has great ability to believe and at the same time has a great ability to doubt.

Yes of course people have faith, religious faith and in some cases religious fervor. I have none of that and very happy to be in that position.
Do I have faith? Yes in my fellow man, as long as they are not religious I think we will all get it together one day, but not with all these religious groups at each others throats.

A lot of people do, but I consider that misplaced: faith is actually the ultimate evil: it is a deliberate rejection of the one thing that makes us human: the ability to think.
