Im a little worried and hurt, im 3 1/2 months pregnant and my father and hubby went to a pro football game in another state, and i called hubby earlier and he said they were sitting at "hooters" what is this place and should i be concerned? like i said i feel more hurt than anything and im not sure why. I trust both of them very much...Whats wrong with me.....I think its cause i feel so fat, when im really just pregnant....can anyone help ease my concern...is hooters bad?

my dad and my hubby are very close, and im daddys girl. He would never do anything or let anyone do anything to hurt me. I know that. Its just really odd, ive never been to one so i had no idea what they were....Thanks so much

I don't think you should worry. No man is going to go dallying around Hooters, enjoying the "attractions", with his father-in-law, particularly if you're daddy's little girl.
The fact that he didn't try to hide it from you probably means that he didn't have some sinful motive. The Hooters food is actually pretty good, and considering the popularity of men's magazines, the Hooters girls aren't as provocative as they were ten or fifteen years ago.
If your brain says to trust your father and husband, try to get it to convince your heart. Attempt to talk yourself out of the hurt feeling, since it is probably misplaced.
Many men who are in love with their wives will admit that during pregnancy, they have a very different attraction to her. There is something deep and beautiful and psychological about the way she looks. When he looks at her, he sees not just the woman he loves and has always thought was pretty, but the woman who is carrying his child. In our feministic, politically-correct world today, it is considered wrong to say pregnancy/childrearing is what we as woman are naturally about, but I think it's true, and many men realize that on a sub-conscious level. I think they have a respect for the fact that pregnancy and childbirth is a miracle they will never be able to experience. You look in the mirror and see someone who may look tired, or flushed, or pale, or fat. Your husband looks at you and sees the ethereal, unexplainable beauty of your changing shape, the fullness of your face, and the "glow" of pregnancy.
When you talk to him next, tell him you were really hurt that he didn't bring you back some buffalo shrimp. GOOD STUFF! :-)

It's just big boobed girls walkin around in skimpy shirts and shorts. Don't worry, there's no REAL nudity. And being pregnant, had he said he was at McDonalds, you'd still be feeling hurt. *smiles* Been there done that.
Just don't forget that he's out with your daddy. Daddy will keep him in line. :)
And here's a funny story for you ..... to give you the preggy giggles .... My father in law took his mother to the doctor. He drove past a billboard that said Hooters and it just had their owl on there. And he decided it'd be a good place to eat. How a man of his age DIDNT know what Hooters was is beyond me. But... he took his VERY Christian mother to lunch there. *giggles* Now imagine this southern lady in her church hat and dress sitting at a table when a big busted girl comes up and asks for her order.

Hooters is a restaraunt where gorgeous waitresses walk around in skin tight shirts to show of their massive boobs. Guy's that go to Hooters don't go there for the food... I know because I've eaten there and the food isn't that good. Your dad and your husband are both pigs.

Bah.....Hooters is a restaurant famous for scantily clad women with big....hooters. Are they naked? No. Are they doing anything more than any other waitress at any other restaurant? No. Is it a place I would be comfortable going with my father-in-law? No. Is it something to be worried about? No, I don't think so. But I do think you have every right to feel a little hurt....

Saw the jokes. Heard most of them before. Wouldn't worry too much about offending people. Lots of people take life too seriously anyway. It was just a few jokes. If I got upset with all the stupid Irish jokes on here we'd never have a laugh. Fair play for apologizing but those who complained need to chill out a bit too. Have a star *

It is a resturant that is named Hooters. The girls that are waitresses wear short shorts and short T-shirts with Hooters written across the chest. Everyone is welcome so this is not a gentlemen`s club or anything.
