Some dermatologists prescribe topical and/or oral antibiotics. Tetracycline is an oral one that's used often, but I've never seen anyone personally get rid of acne with an antibiotic.

Yes they can be of help.

In most cases, a topically applied antibiotic ointment like clindamycin is sufficient.

In severe cases oral antibiotics like azithromycin can be used.

however, one must remember that acne are best treated with regular face washes with a gentle soap rather than antibiotics.

Yes certain antibiotics are prescribed for acne. Acne is caused by the staph bacteria so if it is bad or just plain bothersome the docs will prescribe antibiotics for it.

The only thing for you to do is to go and consult
a dermatologist.

If you are eating any junk food around, then stop eating that.
That is mostly a number one cause for acne problems.
Another problem is testosterone changes in your body.

But still go consult a dermatologist and he or she can also tell you what you should not eat.Trust me, it works.
