An inexpensive pair of diamond earrings can run about $100. Or cultured pearls, about $50. Most women love tiffany's who makes a lot of items between $100-$300. We tend to stick to jewelry for the mothers...it's "safe".

Buy her a gift card to a resturant or u can get her a perfume. i usually get my mother in law a gift card to a resturant for like 30-40 dollars. anything will make her happy its the thought that counts

Depends on the woman and your relationship with her. If she is picky, would she not like flowers or a nice pot plant? Ladies generally speaking appreciate the thought, but if she fussy and perhaps hard to please, why not just ask your partner for ideas?

Buy a set of cheap frames and put pictures of the kids (if you have them) in the frames.
Or if you don't have kids buy her a gift certicfiate to a place you know for sure that she likes to eat at.

How about some duct tape so she can keep it over her mouth...it's cheap.
