Offer more liquids meaning water. No cheese, offer fresh fruit instead, cereal, vegetables, lean meats, and yogurt. These should help. Your child is not getting enough liquids.

Is the child toilet training? It isn't uncommon during this stage. If so, make sure the child is getting plenty of fluids and sitting on the potty at a regular time each day. Some children when they discover they can wait, do so for too long, then is is more difficult to go or they get so busy playing or doing other things they don't want to sit on the potty long enough for results.

Depends on how old the child is and what you are feeding her. For a newborn, breastfeeding as compared to formula should help. Giving some diluted prune juice will also help. For older children, it's due to a lack of fiber in her diet, and can be solved by increasing daily fiber intake.

How much IRON is your child getting? To much isn't good.
Round hard stool is a sign of Constipation.
She needs to eat fruits and veggies, which will give her natural fiber, which the body needs.

Easy on the milk more on the water and juices.Now and then give her warm water and sugar mixed just to soften her stools.

your child is constipated if hes or she is a baby try putting warm Karo corn syrup in the bottle with warm milk or water.

Yes my daughter used to cry,when it was time to pooph.Prune juice saved her and me.I mix it with her milk.It really helps.
