--The first thing to do is get your office chair, keyboard, monitor, mouse ergonomically set up. The lower end of back must be touching the back of chair. Your wrist should have good circulation while typing; use a wrist rest for that. I am talking about wrist etc, because though you have backache directly, back ache can also propagate beginning with neck pain-->shoulder pain-->backache.

Perhaps you need to get up more often and walk around.

You need to be aware of burning being one of the stages of pain picked by the pain nerve ending.. Burning as you outline it is the fatigue of muscles having withstood too much immobility and maintaining your posture in the upright position.. It does suggest you do have a low back chronic susceptibility to this extra strain...I sit at my pc for anywhere from 10 to 18 hours a day and the only problem I have is the callus formation. I don't seem to have any other problems as the previous poster suggested, all the prerequisites to good pc habits. And I have no disc left at the bottom of the spine.

Try getting one of those exercise balls and do the exercises that are inserted (poster) to strengthen your back and abs. If the pain persists, see a chiropractor.
