Even though I am a Christian and my IQ is in the top 10% of the world, I understand the test. And having an understanding of the worldlings studies, I do not put much stock in that learning. In the 32% that claim to be Christian, I would say that less then 10% are truly Christian. In order to get to heaven, one must be a true Christian, you must worship God in all truth. That means, no pagan holy days, feasts, or festivals, obey Gods 10 commandments, live the life of Christ, and spread the good news that the kingdom of God is near at hand.

If I bought into the idea that the majority is always right, I would not be a Christian. Jesus, Himself, said that most would not find the "straight and narrow way", so He must have been right. It does astound me how many "atheists" are spending their time arguing about Christianity and how stupid we are. Maybe they are really anti-theists, else they would be busy having fun and not caring about people who believe in God, Jesus, Mohammed, etc. You know, Jack, if you are right and I am wrong, I have lost nothing. If, on the other hand, I am right and you are wrong... you have lost everything. As for the IQ, what was considered high? Mine tests about 138, which is fair (I can walk and chew gum at the same time, tie my shoes, breathe through my nose in public, etc). I know some very "intelligent" people who, when it comes to common sense, are dumb as a box of rocks.

Yes, I am a Christian and I do Believe in the Bible. As far as the majority being right concept, time has proven how off that could be. Let me give a religious example. Twelve spies were sent out to see how the land God wanted to lead his people to was like. Ten returned with a negative report, two Joshua and Caleb came back and said we are well able to take the land. 10 vs. 2. The 2 were right.
There was a time when the majority of Americans believed that Blacks were not able to be educated, and that they were less than humans. If it were not for the inventions of black americans, America would still be in the dark ages, in some respect.
There were a vast number of americans, over 68%, who felt women should not have rights, ....
My point is that your argument puts you in a bad position.
My final point would be how those who attempt to circumvent God, take Him out of school and government, historically has shown that the civilization went into major decline. Every major civilization in World history that has been anhilated pretty much had a majority that ignored God and for a lack of better words, Christian principles.
And to you my friend,
sleep on that!
Just don't wake up dead, for the vast majority feels that death is the end, and in reality, it is only the beginning.

Well now, I'm a Christian and I wouldn't go around saying everyone else is wrong. All religion has at least some truth. Some have more truth than others, but no religion that teaches love and charity is wrong. On my last IQ test I scored 131 and as I stated I am a Christian. Just keep doing good and you will not go to Hell at all. (maybe he means a shopping cart ;-)

Well, I'm a Buddhist. First off, I have to say that I don't agree on your statistics on IQ... I'm not an atheist but have an IQ of over 140 (since I took it when I was 11)... I have also met very good and bad Christians. Some bad ones include the ones who tried to force me to become one, or told me that I'd go to hell. The good ones are my friends and many others. I'm pretty sure many do think that they are right like in many religions... but I'm not like that. Everyone is equal. Person should treat a person with respect because we are all human.

How many questionnaires ask for a person's religious preference? That is illegal to do because we have freedom of religion. And after you fill in your religious beliefs, does it also ask what your IQ is? These are like questionnaires from Hell apparently. What are these two studies? You give no sources at all. I have taken and given IQ tests while studying psychology. My IQ has ranged from 136-153 depending on the test. I have been saved by Jesus The Christ. I live my life for God. Your theory is wrong.
God Bless and Merry Christmas.

You sound a bit bitter, but I will try to answer clearly and respectfully anyway.
I am a Christian. I am strong in my faith. But I don't believe everyone else is wrong. Just like you said that there are so many different varieties of Christianity, there are also many different thoughts on religious plurality.
I am no theologin. I am just a plain ol liberal christian from the midwest. But I believe in a God who loves everyone. Jesus did not hang out with the Rabbis and the righteous ones, he went to the fringe of society, looked for people to help, gave food the poor and healed the sick.
Some Christians choose to believe that they are right and everyone else is wrong. There are a few verses in the Bible that seem to say as much--if taken out of context.
Some Christians also believe that if you don't find the truth of Christ then you will go to Hell when you die.
My relationship is with my God. I am not evangelical (which would mean that I have a mission to help people find Jesus to become born again). But if people want to talk about my faith, I am happy to share.
Lastly, Atheism is interesting to me, because it is so "anti" religion. If there were no Christianity, or Judaism, or Hinduism etc., then you wouldn't have anything to rally against. For many Atheists, their Atheism seems to stem from the feeling of anti religion, as opposed to just being you regardless of a spiritual influence.

The book of Proverbs, said to be written by the wisest man ever to live by those of it's origin, also said, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding."
It really amazes me how people don't see just how complete the Bible really is. There is nothing you can bring against it or God that it cannot refute on its own. Sure, there are areas that make you go, "huh?" like in Genesis when it says at one point that the animals were taken on the ark two by two and then later says it was in sevens... huh? well which is it?
the fact that people who score highest based on our system of Intellectual Measurement means very little other than to say it will typically be hardest for them to ever believe in any deity because they are so rooted in logic and facts. i can't remember who, but one of those old, smart guys said that faith requires the abandon of logic (paraphrased). unless you eliminate logic, there can be no miracles, no fate, and no destiny. everything would have to follow some element of logic and have an explanation.
anyway, Happy Festivus and next you think about persecuting Christians remember this... they believe you are creating blessings for them when you do that, so instead of really angering them, you are making them feel stronger and happier about their beliefs.

The bible says we will be outnumbered and it says we will be condemned and hated. Thus we are. And we dont really care because the only opinion that matters is Gods. As for IQ, 1 Corinthians 1:18-20 -18For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. 19For it is written: "I will destroy the wisdom of the wise; the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate." 20Where is the wise man? Where is the scholar? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?

All Christian believe Jesus is the Son of God who died for our sins and is the Way the Truth and the Life and no man can come to the Father except through Jesus. He is our Lord and Savior. We believe He died and was crucified and rose from the dead on the 3rd day and has risen. I believe in God and Jesus and the bible. The bible has accurate history and prophesy. If you dont want to believe no one will chop your head off or force you. .... God bless, I will pray for you.
