If you're asking about airliners, the fastest one currently flying is the 747 which can cruise at Mach .85 which is a ground speed of about 567 MPH. Most other airliners are in the 500+ MPH range as well.

The jet pushes the plane through the air, while the propeller pulls it. Jets are much faster. I have no idea of the rpm, though. A ceiling fan will not work on any sort of airplane, The blades are not strong enough, and the rpm is too low. The power of a fan is much too low, also, but perhaps you mean if you attach to fan to an airplane engine. Fan blades might propel a very light airplane if they did not break off first.

Depends on what kind of jet you are talking about. I'm assuming you are referring to the traditional definition of 'jet', which means an air-breathing engine.

The fastest military jet continues to be the retired Lockheed SR-71, which holds an official airspeed record of 2,188 mph.

The fastest air-breathing aircraft overall is Boeing's X-43A, an experimental hypersonic scramjet. It acheived a maximum speed of 7,000 mph (Mach 9.8) in 2004.

Airliners cruise at .72 -.8 Mach which is about 480 - 520 Kts groundspeed.

Fighters, well depends. Max speed isn't as desirable as agility. However, the latest generation top out at about 1.8 Mach or 900- 1000Kts.

Depends on engine size. With a big enough engine, you can basically go as fast as you please, but fuel consumption nearly triples as you go from subsonic to supersonic. Hence, today's transport aircraft all fly at just under the speed of sound.
