No I'm not. But remember that every single person wants to have freedom and do their own choice and decision in life. I am a parent myselfy actually and I've been to a lot of confusion and rebellion when I was on my younger age. I'm 27, yes right, too young. But then again, things change your life, when you jump from one roof to the other, where your roof has all the party and all that stuff you need but on the other, there's one thing you really need to care about, that's either your parents or your love of your life.

My point is, 30 my friend isn't young anymore, if you want to get married at the age of 40, you'll be like limping and you'll miss the fun with your kids.

I'm not really saying that you get settled, but you know parents only want to the best for you. But hey, it's still your decision.

Enjoy.

If you take a step back. Look at life. You are thirty maybe you should consider doing something for you. Make a life that you create. You have the intelligence use it. That s what you went to school for. So what they don't give you money when you succeed you can say I did it because I wanted too. Not because of my big brother. As far as the girl forget her the better girl for you is just around the corner. step out step up my friend and be free.

i'm a black sheep
come from large family me and my mother are the black sheep of the family!
the only thing that comes to mind is STOP LIVING YOUR LIFE FOR OTHER PEOPLE..
Dude you really need to live life for you! I understand they are your parents and all.. But It isn't your job to make them happy! Your job is to make YOU happy.. Their job is to keep their selfs happy not you! You can look at them dead in the eye and say you know what I have my own life you may call me a rebel but at least i'm a leader and i dont follow in someone elese foot steps! and if you can't encouragement in what i want to do then just stay out of that aspect of my life. I am a postitive person and don't need your negitivy bring me down! I love you but i will tallarate you at my least if you can not meet my expectiations?
then ask them what they expect out of you!
actually ask them first then realease!
Trust me you will feel Tones better!
best of luck

Yes, I'm athiest and my parents are strict Christians, my parents eat meat, I don't, my parents are very conservative, I'm not, etc.

I hate it, but thank god for college! Just a few more years! It's hard, but you can get over it.

Why are they like this? Because they expect their children to be exactly what they envision them to be, and if they're not, all Hell breaks loose. Parents get the wrong idea about what obligations are owed to them by their children, especially mine. The one thing I am getting out of this: I will never do this to my children. I will be understanding, lax, and more on their level.

I know how you feel, and it isn't fun :( . Gosh, I don't know. People always tell us oddballs that our family is only trying to help, but I don't see how. I wish families came in cans so you can open them up with a little can opener and POP! A loving family springs out of the little tin can who only expects your personal best...

Yes I am. I decided to live my life the way I chose than to live my life according to how my mother thought I should live. I have made my own choices through most of my life and have no regrets although my mother and sister always felt I SHOULD have regrets and SHOULD have listened to them.
