I would say the first thing to do is look your self in the mirror and say something positive to the face looking back at you. Tell yourself that you are a good, strong and worthwhile person, and today is the first day of the rest of your life: that today you are going to make a positive change.
I think the surest way of stopping and staying stopped is to look up a support group...a 12 step program. They have proven results because you are not doing it alone, but with a sponsor you can call anytime you feel a craving, and other people who have gone through it and are staying clean one day at a time. You may be nervous to make the first call or to go to the first meeting, but you will feel so good about yourself when you take that first step. You can do anything you want..go for it! Best wishes.

First off, marijuana is not addictive [at least not physically]. That is even the argument that pro-marijuana people argue.
Secondly, one should look in the mirror and tell theirself that they need to get their head in the game. Their body doesn't need it. So there will be NO withdrawal symptoms. It also helps to not hang out with people who do it.

The very first step would be to decide that you wanted, to quit, then make a commitment to it. The next thing I would do would be to find my local Narcotics Anonymous group, or something similar. Quitting anything is easier with support
