I don't know. But agree that Sumatra is one of the best. Something about the full rich flavor.

The first answer refers to a particular bean from Indonesia known as Kopi Luwak , which is processed through the GI tract of the palm civat (paradoxorus hermaphroditus), also known as the civat cat. In general, Sumatran coffees are grown in volcanic soils that are low in acidity, and the resultant crops allow for a smooth coffee that can even stand the typical Starbuck's over-roast without becoming too nasty. Good, of course, is a matter of personal taste. Nevertheless, the characteristics of Sumatran coffees have long been prized for their smooth and gentle flavors, and I personally agree with you that they are good

A weasel eats the bean and poops it out, then the beans are collected for processing. It has to do with the acidity in the weasel. Best of luck to you!
