Yes it would. The girl is legally a minor. It is called "statutory rape" in the court of law.
However, personally, I don't see a problem with a 16 year-old and 18 year-old dating as often girls mature faster. About on the same level then. If the guy is pushing you, step back. Honestly, if I was the (or a) guy, I'd be afraid. The laws are very serious. It's a felony and will put him on the list of sex offenders for the rest of his life. Just make sure it is definitely what is right for you, and don't turn him in to the police.

But if it was consensual and you have a relationship, the law doesn't have to know about it. It happens all the time. But it is illegal and the girl can press charges if she wants to.

yes, it differs thru out the states and stuff, but if someone wanted to press charges they could and who ever the 18 year old is screwed, now if your jsu ttlakin about bein together then no theres nothin illegal about it, but still could cause problems

It really depends on which state (or country) you live in. I know in Oklahoma, if you are 16 and not a virgin by consent, it is perfectly legal.
