Great answer GLXTASY! One word of caution when removing the bulbs - turn them slowly as to not crack the plastic holding the wiring or the nubs to hold the wiring in. Plastic becomes brittle over time, especially after 13 years. If you do crack the plastic, you will have to rig it up. Just take you time. It's not a race.

You have to remove the speedometer cluster from the dash. it's not super involved, but you will need to spend smoe time on it.
The easiest way is to get a Bentley manual and look there. That will give you step by step instructions. You can get them for about $30 or so.
first, you have to remove the plastic that surrounds the speedometer.
-to do this, you have to pry out carefully with a blade screwdriver the switch cover to the right of the speedometer (if you have heated seats, it is the slightly curved piece closest to the dash, if you don't have heated seats then it is the dummy plate that is slightly curved.)
Behind that, you will find a philips screw. Take that out.
On the left side of the dash, you need to pry out the air bag warning light that is next to the plastic bezel. Be careful though, because this will have an electrical plug connected to it. Take it loose and you will see another philips screw on that side. Remove the screw.
Okay, so now the plastic housing is loose. You need to gently pry it loose. It may be tight in there if it hasn't been removed since 1995. You will have to twist and turn the bezel so that you can remove it from the dash area. To do so, you need to pull it out in the gap between your steering wheel and the dash.
Okay, the last part is to remove the speedometer itself. you will see 2 more screws on top of the speedometer. Take those screws out. There are 2 tabs (one on each side) at the bottom of the speedometer. These round tabs simply snap into the guide at the bottom of the speedo so you can just pull it out gently and these will come out.
The speedometer will also have several plastic plugs in the back for all of the wiring. disconnect these and you then have to turn the speedometer because the way to remove it without having to take off your steering wheel is to take it out through the top opening (above the air bag, but below the top rim of the steering wheel) of the steering wheel.
the bulbs are simple twist out bulbs and you twist them out to replace them.
Installation is the opposite of removal.

You have to remove the dash to get to the bulbs. This is a very involved process but can be done by anyone with a little mechanical incliination. Plan on spending a whole day on it and take your time to not break things as you disassemble it. Replace them w/ LED's if you can find them. They last much longer.
