ANOTHER reason creationism and ID make no sense.
So far, I have 312 pages of their nonsense, let me know if you can add more.

Some people believe the siblings married each other. Another belief is that there were other peoples created, and that Adam and Eve were the first creation in the line of Jesus. In that case, there would have been many other people that did not come from Adam and Eve.

The following is an excerpt from:
http://www.christiananswers.net/q-aig/aig-c004.html
(Please read the whole article, it is an excellent treatment from a Christian perspective)
If we now work totally from Scripture, without any personal prejudices or other extra-biblical ideas, then back at the beginning, when there was only the first generation, brothers would have had to have married sisters or there would be no more generations!
We are not told when Cain married or any of the details of other marriages and children, but we can say for certain that some brothers had to marry their sisters at the beginning of human history.

I know that Christian Gnostic scriptures have a detailed explanation of the Creation of the universe and mankind. I am not recommending this, but in the Secret Book of John, it gives a really detailed explanation/theory as to how everything was created. It blew my mind away. As far as the Bible goes, I am still searching for answers. At the moment, I am leaning toward teachers who say that it should be interpreted metaphorically or figuratively as opposed to literally. It all depends on how you see it. No one can change anybody's point of view.

Shalom,
The story will never make sense literally because it was never historical to begin with. Its a allegory that is portraying your own mind.
"Thus the tales related in the Torah are simply her outer garments, and woe to the man who regards that outer garb as the Torah itself, for such a man will be deprived of portion in the next world. Thus David said: 'Open Thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of Thy law' (Psalms 119:18), that is to say, the things that are underneath. See now. The most visible part of a man are the clothes that he has on, and they who lack understanding, when they look at the man, are apt not to see more in him than these clothes. In reality, however, it is the body of the man that constitutes the pride of his clothes, and his soul constitutes the pride of his body" (The Zohar; Edited by Gershom G. Scholem, Zohar- The Book of Splendor, Basic Readings from the Kabbalah [New York, Schocken Books, 1949])
“Where the word found that things done according to the history could be adapted to these mystical senses, he made use of them concealing from the multitude the deeper meaning; but where in the narrative of the development of super-sensual things, there did not follow the performance of those certain events which were already indicated by the mystical meaning, the scripture interwove in the history the account of some event that did not take place, sometimes what could not have happened; sometimes what could but did not.”(Origen)

In the Koran it said that Adam and Eve had twins boy and girl then an other boy and a girl. One boy married to the other girl not his twin sister. So, they married each other with the help of God

Read a little bit more, if you dare;
"In time [Eve] gave birth to Cain and said: ‘I have produced a man with the aid of Jehovah.’ Later she again gave birth, to his brother Abel.” As is well known, Cain killed Abel; but after that, we read that Cain had a wife and children. (Genesis 4:17) If Adam and Eve had only two sons, where did Cain find his wife?
The solution lies in the fact that Adam and Eve had more than two children. According to the context, they had a large family. At Genesis 5:3 we read that Adam became father to another son named Seth and then, in the following verse, we read: “He became father to sons and daughters.” (Genesis 5:4) So Cain could have married one of his sisters or even one of his nieces. At that early stage of human history, when mankind was so close to perfection, such a marriage evidently did not pose the risks for the children of the union that it would today.

I am not sure because the Bible is not clear on that exact point.
What I do know is that people lived WAY longer than they live now. Hundreds of years.
I believe it is possible that there was intermarriage somewhow and that is how the two tribes came together.
Like I said, don't really know, but when I get to Heaven that will be one of the questions I ask.
God Bless
And yes I believe the Bible literally. It is not the weak who believe, it is the strong and courageous.

Adam and Eve were the First Couple created and they lived in Eden.
They had MANY children INCLUDING Cain, Abel and Seth, who are the only ones mentioned, who happen to be male offsprings, as their first generation children in the Bible. They had many sons and daughters as well.
As it is written, Eve was the "mother of all the living."
Adam lived to be 930 years old and they had Seth when Adam was already 130 years old, to place importance in replacing the good seed of Abel, who was killed by Cain much earlier.
Cain was banished because of his crime or sin, and he brought his wife/sister out of Eden with him to the Land of Nod. [Sidebar: INCEST was not at all considered a SIN, or even an issue, during that time since Man was ordered to multiply. Marrying one's sister or a close relative became PROHIBITED much later on ONLY during the time of Moses when he gave the Mosaic laws, after he had received the Ten Commandments on Mt. Sinai.]
Adam lived a total of 930 years and HE could have easily fathered MORE THAN five hundred [or more than a thousand]* male AND female children in his lifetime. In fact, Adam was 704 years old when Enoch was born, and Enoch was already SEVEN generations after Adam. Enoch was the father of Methuselah who eventually lived the LONGEST among the Ancient Great Ones who saw the face of God...
Around that time it is quite probable that the population had grown exponentially to not only tens of thousands but easily hundreds of thousands already... and all of them resulting from the First Couple's original offsprings...
In addition to the First Couple's offsprings, the "Sons of God" also took wives for themselves and had their own offsprings who turned out to become "Giants"...
The latter becomes more obvious when you read the Book of Enoch.
Peace be with you.

The old testament mentions GOD created Adam and Eve first. There is nothing that says that he did not create other people after Adam and Eve were created. HE very well may have explaining why there are other races.

The Bible says that Cain went to the land of Nod and built a city. What it does NOT say, is that he found his wife there. The obvious (from a literal viewpoint) implication is that he took his wife/sister with him when he left.
One of the most basic contextual rules of ANY literary study is to understand the culture and background of both the author and original reader. In the case of this passage, the birth and life of women were simply not a major point and were often exluded from the writing unless there was a major reason for their inclusion. Since earlier in Genesis, a man and wife were said to be "one flesh", the author would have felt no compulsion to include the very minor point that cain took his wife with him when he left.
