Man used to live in caves too but they don't now .Same concept with what once was.If you owe a second hand car do you think the previous owner can come take it and drive it because he once owned it?
They don't own it now and haven't for a very long time. The Mexican/American War took care of that.It belongs to the USA and its illegal to enter the US without proper documentation. That's why Mexicans,or any one, cant enter this nation by illegal means.

The Indians were not indigenous to this country either having migrated from other Continents some across the Bering Strait and so they didn't owe the land.
There were hundreds of different tribes and they all spoke a different language ..The land was not stolen from them. The also lost a war and the land became the USA.

Weong answer, use to does not mean now, Mexico ceceded most of the SOuth West in 1848 with the U.S. Govt paying the Mexican Govt for the land.

In 1853 the United States purchased The Gadsen Purchase from Mexico.

Therefore all the land that use to belong to Mexico does not belong to Mexico now, it belongs to America.

By the way my State Michigan use to belong to Quebec under French and later British rule but my French-Canadian Great-Great Grandmother registered for Legal Immigration into the State of Michigan and the French-Canadians know that Michigan is no longer part of Quebec.

Key phrase there is "used to own". Mexico no longer owns it, so they can't lay any claim to it. And actually, Mexico's president at the time sold the land to the U.S. for $15 million, so Mexico technically can't even claim it was stolen.

If you want to play the word/semantics game, then technically EVERYONE in America is illegal because the Native Americans "used to own" the land. And while how it was taken from them wasn't very fair, there was also no law saying that it couldn't be taken from them. But if anyone had land stolen, it was the Native Americans.

American Indians had the land at one time. Today's Mexico does close to nothing to support the American Indian heritage. Hence the stand off in Mexico this past month.

Spain was a country that invaded Mexico and today's Mexico is very much European based so it would be like the French coming back for Louisiana.

And not to be rude but to state the truth Mexico is dependent of the U.S not the other way around.

Well the Mexicans have done nothing to speak of in terms of improving their own country so they come here and want to demand rights, why don't they try that in their own country and fix the mess themselves. I went out to California a few years ago to the area I used to live in and it's mostly Mexican now, what a dump. It used to be a nice area not even close now.

And Native Americans USED to own Mexico, as did the Spanish.

Guess how much that means now.

Americans with Mexican heritage have been in the US as long as anyone...they are us....the ones crossing at night, working illegally, sending the illegal money home to another country, living in the shadows, and being invisible to law enforcement should be punished and the companies should be fined for hiring them...I am a blue collar Liberal

Actually the Mexican's never really owned any of the United States, it was Spain.

It can be said the president at that time , (Polk) , went to war on the flimsiest of pretenses - As a believer in westward expansion, slave holding, and manifest destiny the 1845 War was a logical course of action. Not only that, Polk wanted to take all of Mexico and Cuba as well...only there was not enough support for this.
However this thinking did come to surface in the aims of the Knights of the Golden Circle. The history of land acquisition in the US is as shameful as anywhere in the world.

Great! More lies from another PRO-ILLEGAL RACIST from La RAZA, MENCHA, LULAC, or EL EME. Just go! Okay.....Native Americans owned the land before everybody. Mexico has never owned anything except a large debt to practically every other nation on earth....get your facts straight......or simply leave quietly.....walking in shame.....as usual......Muchas Gracias!
