lack of wisdom, over zealousness and naivety. Conversion from a Christian perspective can only happen when the one being converted is open to truth, God being truth and the Holy Spirit his infilling of Truth. Personal convictions of the evangelist is not enough. Actions are louder than word you know that one right.
The best evangelists are the ones that live their conviction, their faith. St Francis taught use word if necessary.

Well for me, I can only speak from personal experience...But...
If you find some wonderful thing, like a great restaurant with very reasonable prices.....or....you find a great deal on a new car with no down payment and a fantastic rebate...well...you'd want to share it with those you love.
You'd probably tell them about it with alot of energy and enthusiasm because you were very happy with the deal yourself. It's just like that with someone of faith that is sharing their salvation experience with you. They are excited and hope you get excited too.

There a a good many who think that just because THEY get excited about something, so should the rest of us.

That's just silly. I mean, I get excited about new episodes of my favorite shows, but I would never expect EVERYONE to get excited about them.

When you are saved by Jesus The Christ, your life has changed. You are living for God's will. His will is for everyone to know His Love and Grace. That's our job, to get the word out. We know we can't convert you. We just want you to know that God loves you and wants you to call on Him.

God Bless and Merry Christmas.

Wait, so if somebody's trying to sell you something that they personally use and love you would object to their showing enthusiasm about what the product has done for them? I get that way about iPod and iTunes these days (great products, btw, try iTunes if you haven't, it's free and you'll never want to go back to your old mp3 player - really! I use it everywhere, home work. And imagine listening to all those radio programs you like *any time you'd like*!).

You find personal endorsements disingenuous?
