Well if you think about it, its the first crotch we ever see, and Barbie is seen as "beautiful" also.

I think it is basically for hygienic purposes that we started doing it, not necessarily from Barbie.

Uh no, shaving the pubs started when men wanted to do little girls and not their daughters or the neighborhood darlings but they'd go to jail so they had their lovers, wives, hookers, whoever was legal shave. Read a book.

no i think it just cost too much for matel to add bush to their barbies, and they would probably get sued, also who thought so many 5 year olds would start stripping them... maybe barbie started that whole stripping industry now that i think of it, and when u strip u have to look like barbie which includes no bush, so maybe its somehow connected but not through direct monkey see monkey due.. more like monkey wanna watch girls strip and girls wanna have monkeys money so girls shave like what monkey saw

As a male the first one I saw was G I Joe, and he cut off Mr. Happy, so I don't shave there :) !

No, it probably stemmed from people that had genital lice, known as crabs. They didn't want to pour Clorox on them, because it burns too much, so they shaved them off....lol
