this is my first time spending in the winter country just like to find out is it thermal clothing suppose to wear outside my normal clothes bcos if i wear those wool thermal alone i feel very itchy.

Yes, wool thermal does prick the skin but it is consider the warmest protection. You can also try wool blend with cotton or 3-layer cotton thermal.

Thermal should be wear under other clothings and should be fitting to get maximum protection against the cold. If you still find wool thermal the best, maybe you can put on a light sleeveless t-shirt underneath the thermal.

Thermal underwear is worn underneath your regular clothing. If it is too itchy, then wear your regular underwear and then the thermal over it with your street clothes on the outside. The secret to winter clothing is layers. This information is for the real winter countries in the North. If you are south of the Mason Dixon line then you don't need thermal underwear, regular long johns will do.

Thermal clothing is supposed to be worn underneath your normal clothes. I do believe however that there is thermal clothing that is not made from wool! Try looking into that!
