I had a doctor tell me a couple of months ago that the green phlegm being bacterial was just a myth. Green phlegm means that you are a little dehydrated and it is just thicker which makes it green. Drink plenty of fluids and it will get better.

If its green then its a sign of infection and should probably be treated with antibiotics.....yellow means its on its way to be getting worse and clear is nothin to worry about....take care!!!

Its often a sign of a bacterial infection sometimes a viral infection. If bacterial you must be on antibiotics before you get better. If it decreases day by day you are probably getting better

Any snot in the yellow, brown, or green color spectrum is indicative of an infection. Clear snot is a sign of improvement.
