Doing a paper on his poetry, especially " the passionate shepherd to his love" can't find anything on courtly love. Help! if anybody knows any good cites for this.

Courtly love is like what Launcelot and Gwynevere [excuse the spellings, I've seen each spelled multiple ways] had. They weren't in love, but he was supposed to protect her with his life... Look for Medieval references... Here are some possibly helpful sites: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=courtly+love

There is a book called "The Book of the Courtier" by Castiglione that was like one of the main reference guides for courtly behavior during the Renaissance. Maybe check that one out on Wikipedia or something.
