You cannot do anything to make him STOP liking you. You have to know how it feels to be turned down, and know how it is to like someone that doesn't look twice at you.
Don't write him a note, have some courage and tell him how you feel to his face. Tell him that you do not like him the way he likes you. Tell him that you're sorry, and know how he must feel but you really wish you could just be friends.
Good luck, but don't be mean to him. He can't help it.

You can't TELL anyone NOT to like you; just like you can't force anyone to love you, either. Can't you just be friends? Explain to him that's all you want to be.
