It depends on how old you are and how independent you are of your mother's influence on your life.

If you're a minor, still living at home and not completely independent financially, then you should seriously listen to her advice. Try to understand why she's not in favor of these girls. She may be seeing something in their personality or character which is going to cause you pain and trouble.

It may also be she knows what's happening in your life and that the time and energy girlfriends demand will eat into your study time and badly affect your grades.

If you are over 21, have a good job and don't live at home, then the story's a lot different. Your mom may be trying to keep you emotionally attached to her, and no girl will ever please her. But it's more likely that she still sees qualities in these girls that may cause you pain and trouble. If that's the case, take her advice seriously and choose wisely. Once you've moved out, then you are expected to be an adult and make your own choices and also live with the consequences.

Listen to mom
sorry drew!

She is a woman first and knows a keeper.
Keep trying- lots of fish in the sea babe!

She will want the best for you!

I had to work hard to impress my mother in law- she is Italian and I'm Irish, so we were head2head a few times. Love prevailed and I'm her best buddy now! She knows I'm just a stubborn as she is and loves her son with all my heart. That won her over!

as long as we're not dealing with a mommas boy then take heed to mommas word. but this also sounds like a typical child romance so pick the one you want and go for it we all go through this at some point in our lives.
