A lot of people tell me guys like you when they make them feel sorry for you. By sharing a sad story or a hard time in their life is this true?

it's possible because if the guy is a protector and wants to protect a hurt girl.

im a guy and i dont want a girl loving me because they feel sorry for me i want her to love me for me (personality)...thats why i dont like telling the girl i like my problems i dont want them feeling sorry for me.

I f you sympathize with them they feel more comfortable around you then and will want to be around you more. Feels like a connection then.
