Note: I just had some very nice Muslims tell me they want to get rid of Christmas due to it being offensive. Is it offensive? I'm near the Detroit area.

In what we do you expect them too? Geez.

In my work, they respect that its celebrated by some people, some of whom are christians and some just love the secular.

They go to the christmas lunch or whatever but they dont have to celebrate it per say. Why should they. Likewise, I respect their fasting on Ramadan but they DONT expect me to fast on Ramadan.

They sometimes decline to go to lunches if we go to restaurants they dont have Halal food but most of time, we choose restaurants offers reasonable choice for all.

It works out fine.

Becouse their religion teach them that everythink that is not islamic is offensive to them and they have to get rid of it .
To muslims who ask why christians dont respect Ramadam . We do respect it but we dont hold it as it is not a christian celebration. I never hear christians saying Ramadam is offensive to us ,lets get rid of it , can u see the difference ?.

Do you want to know why ?? Because there is no such teaching of the earlier prophets that you should honour the birthday of prophets before them. Celebrating birthday of prophets and saints is forbidden in islam, including the birthday of prophet Muhammad. It is the pagans who celebrate the birthday of humans or their gods, not people of Abrahamic faith....

Whats your definition of area and respect in regards to this question? Do you expect them to buy a Christmas tree? I don't think they will do that.

That's like asking why Christians don't respect Ramadan. Work on it. It'll come to you.

Do you respect Ramadan? Dont worry about it. Just shine for Jesus in this season and be hospital and loving.
