I had a project in a class similar to this one. I made "Strawberry Shortcakes" At home I made the strawberry shortcake. I made an angel food cake out of the box and baked it in a rectangular pan. Then when the cake has cooled you pour over strawberry jello mix. But first you must prepared the jello according to the instructions. (Which I think is to simply add water to the powder). In class I brought strawberries (already cut up and cleaned), cool whip or canned whipped cream, and the cake. I also brought plastic cups and forks. I used a round cookie cutter and cut pieces of the cake out. I placed some strawberries in the bottom of the cup, then a round of the cake, then more strawberries and then topped it with the whipped cream. You can use whatever order you want. I'm not sure if this will work for you because you can't use an oven. I wasn't sure if that just meant no oven in the classroom. I hope this helps. Good luck!

Soften some cream cheese. Mix in some chopped up onion and 2 cans of drained clams. Add some of the clam juice if the mixture seems too thick. Add garlic powder, chili powder, and salt & pepper to taste. Serve with chopped up veggies, chips, or crackers.
Or try an old white-trash favorite: Roll out one box of velveeta cheese using wax paper and a rolling pin. The idea is to end up with a rectangle less than 1/2 inch thick. Mix 1 box of softened cream cheese with 1 small can of diced green chillies. Spread out in the middle of the rolled out velveeta. Roll it up so that you have a log of velveeta surrounding the cream cheese mixture. Slice of the ends to help even things up and make it look prettier. This "blob" goes good with Ritz crackers.

Some real easy and fast dips would be: Soup Mix (vegetable, onion or even ranch) mixed with sour cream, just topped with some sprinkled parsley for color; Velveeta cheese mixed with salsa (you can add some ground cooked hamburger if you want to add a little bit of volume to that); Layer Dip: Cover the bottom of a small casserole dish with a thin layer of whipped cream cheese, then top with layers of salsa and shredded cheese. Bake at 400 for about 10-15 minutes until everything gets soft and combined. Top with sliced olives.; Pimento Cheese Dip: Add one pack of dried Ranch salad dressing to one tub of sour cream. Cut up roasted red peppers into small dices, mix with sour cream, then add 1 cup of shredded Parmesan cheese, cheddar cheese, and jack cheese. Stir until all combined. If too dry, slowly add in a few tablespoons of mayonnaise for moisture.
Those are some of my favorites. I think others would probably all be more complex, and expensive. Best of luck to you!

This costs about $10.
Buy a big block of Velveeta®, a small block of cream cheese, 1 lb of ground beef, salsa and a packet of taco seasoning. Melt cheese in crock pot. Cook ground beef per directions on taco packet. Add taco meat to cheese and add some salsa. If you like it hot dice some jalapenos and toss it in. Dip with tortilla chips. Happy dipping!

Boil some potatoes until done. Grate them on a cheese grater. Dice and fry up some crisp bacon. Drain it and add it to the potatoes. Add a small cartain of sour cream and a stick of sliced butter. Slice up a green onion. Mix everything together in a bowl, then put it in a buttered casserole dish and bake it at 350 until heated through. OMG, it is to D-I-E for! Enjoy!
