I used to like this shy gal(joanne) and i took her bestfriends help(monique) to get to know her. The thing is that i hangout and flirt way more wit monique than wit joanne. A few days ago, one of my friends told me that i like monique and that im in denial. After that i realised that i like monique although i know that shes not my type. Why did this happen?.

because your hanging out with her more that the other girl. and she may be more fun than the shy girl. just go with what you fell.

normally, if a guy spends much time with a girl, he would eventually end up liking that girl. hanging out with her as often will make him see things they are in common with. so if he enjoys her company, no big deal, he begins liking that girl. (ur case with monique)
on the other hand, why don't you take some time with joanne too? in the process, you'll also learn if you guys have the chemistry u and monique have. and if you enjoy her company much more than monique's, it's her u are really enthralled with. just take ur time and be sure of how you feel.

It's not that big of a deal. You just realized that Monique is a cool girl that you can really have fun with. And people always like people when they can see them as a fun person to be around. It doesn't matter if she's your type. Honestly I don't think there is a such of a thing as 'type'. I mean when I went out with my bf he wasn't my type and I wasn't his, but we still fell in love with each other. Good Luck and maybe you should ask Monique out on a date sometime to like a movie.

Because you are not really attracted to the original crush as you thought. then you spent time with that girls friend and you saw things about her that you adore and now when you see Joanne you don't wonder if she will come talk to you you wonder if she has Monique with her you have to go with what your heart tells you. forget about Joanne go after Monique!!!!!

Ya know, I wish someone had told me this at your age, but I probably wouldn't take the advice and you probably won't either, but at your age forget about having a one on one relationship. Date a lot of girls, hang out with groups, do things with groups of your friends both guys and gals.
You really have to meet and talk to a lot of women before you meet the one that is meant for you.
The reason there are so many divorces in this country is because we all want to get serious way too quickly, then later on we discover we made a big mistake or (especially for women) they find out they CAN'T change him.

sometimes wen u start to hang out w/someone u start to like them...even if they arent wut u normally look for....it happens.....so just go for it...just try not to hurt her best friend!!
