Since you're on facebook, I assume you're in college. In that case, why not go? Chances are, 1/2 the people there don't know the host period (not even through facebook). If you want to go, I say go and have as much fun as possible. After all, he does want you there!

This is a good way to make a friend.
As long as this is a public place and you watch alcohol intake etc., and you leave by yourself...there should be no cause to worry.
Before you go, leave the address where you will be with a family member or friend.
Better yet, take a friend along.
Most times, invitations imply an included guest even if not stated.
If you really want to go but just feel uncomfortable because you are not that familiar with the host, bring a friend. Then have a good time.

Its a very immature and juvenile situation. I think you should stop caring about people and whether they like you or not. You're young and theirs plenty of other parties to be a part of in the future. Seeking revenge just makes you as low a person as she is. If it really bothers you that much the best thing you can do is show her how much you don't care you weren't invited. Tell her good luck on her party, and that you hope she has fun. Seriously let it be. Throw your own party if you want and do your own thing then.....

Have you met this person in real life? If the answer is no, then don't go. You should get to know this person in real life before joining in on parties with them. If you definetely decide to go at least bring a friend along with you for safety purposes.

I say go under two conditions:
1) You can see the RSVP list and it will be a mixed crowd
2) You have a girlfriend who can go with you
It's probably harmless and he's just being friendly. But if you plan for the worst you'll usually be pleasantly surprised.

What if you are the only one invited to the "party" and he's a creep? Do you realize what kind of chances you are taking out there?

if you go, take a friend with you and be sure to let other ppl know where you're going. you never know about ppl you "meet" online. unless of course you have a mutual friend/friends. then i guess it would be safe. it may be kind of awkward though if you go alone and don't actually know anyone.
