About 4 tablespoons is a quarter cup. About 5 1/3 tablespoons is a 1/3. An eight tablespoon stick of butter is a half cup. That is a good way of thinking about it. Good luck and have fun cooking!

1 Stick of butter equals 1/2 Cup. 1 Cup equals 16 tablespoons. 16 divided by 3 is a little over 5 tablespoons. Don't get too hung up on the math...most sticks of butter have the measurements drawn up on their wrapper, so all you have to do is cut it.

5 1/3 Tbsp.... use the little grid markings on the wrapper... count 5, then take about a third of the 6th one.

In the superstore, fruits are usually chosen far too soon. Some are rocks, many are bad. Some of the fresh vegetables are generally right (zucchini, onions, garlic, lettuce, greens, and a few others) so I'd have to go with vegetables.
