I have a dilemma. There is this guy i like and i know he's going to ask me out and i was talking to him on the phone last night, but now both of our parents are home and it could be bad if our parents found out we were talking...
we're still in the small stage of liking each other, and so if the 'rents found out, they could overreact.

It depends on why your parents would overeact. When you are so young sometimes you don't see your parents side of things clearly and most of the time (not all of the time) they have the best intentions in mind. If there is a real reason why they do not want you to date then you should consider what they are saying. If the two of you do start dating and your families do not like that it can make life very unbearable. I have tried to keep my families wants into consideration when it comes to whom I bring into their home but it has to be with in reason as far as what their concerns are.
