I have a 2 year old male Red nose Pit and I am trying to find out if they are prone to kidney problems.
My Dog is having coat problems skin problems and is peeing and pooping some blood.
I can not get him to the vet until Monday and am just trying to find some info online for now.
Thank you.

There's several things that could cause blood coming from both places...but not usually at the same time. A urinary tract infection (UTI) is common, quite painful...and easily treatable. The blood in the poop could be hookworm which attaches to the intestines and causes sores which seep. These can both be serious if not treated, but she should be fine until Monday. These symptoms could be something else entirely, but both of the descriptions are common problems in dogs.

Coat problems can be caused by the two illnesses...especially worms. They suck nutrients from the dog. Feeding a high quality food that have the Omega fatty acids included will help get her healthy and bring her coat back to it's original shine.

You might not find what you're looking for in the below links as far as kidney disease answers go...your vet can do that, but there is excellent information on the breed.

I have a pit and do research on pits all the time, I dont think they are prone to kidney problems, but they are prone to skin and allergey problems, definately get to the vet asap, there could be something terribly wrong going on since he is peeing and pooping blood, is he still eating and drinking normally? If not I find an emergency vet!

I suppose its unhappy a lot of these humans are hanging unhealthy evaluations approximately Pit Bulls. My mum and dad acquired there first puppy in combination once they had been courting and he was once a Pit Bull. Even although he best lived until i used to be in 1st grade(he lived to be sixteen, and i'm now in tenth grade) i've the first-class reminiscences if him. He had the first-class temperment of any of the three puppies i've had on the grounds that him. He was once so candy and on the grounds that i used to be little i might pull on his ears and tail and journey him like a horse and he by no means gave me a fallacious seem. It is all approximately the landlord and the way they CHOOSE to reproduce the puppies. Any puppies will also be competitive if the house owners chooses for them to be. They are fine puppies with robust unswerving personalities. If you propose to get a Pit Bull i might do a little main study at the breeder you get it from so you'll seem again at the line of puppies they have got bred and make certain none of them had been bred to combat. I have herd Pit Bulls have a few kind of tumor of their brains that may snap and that may reason an assault, that's what happend whilst you pay attention the tale of "Our excellent temperment Pit Bull attacked our youngster" or anything. I say they're first-rate puppies if they're informed safely. Do study.

Skin problems for pit bulls are comman. I live in a desert and my dog as great skin and coat. 2 or three time a week I mix 2-3raw eggs in 1/2 cup of olive oil and give it to him, he likes it plain but you may have to mix it with food. Blood in the poop may be worms of some kind.
