NO YOU SHOULDLNT BE PISSED OFF... But It would Not be Wrong if you Asked your Faterh if You could Sit Down and Tallk with hom, and Let him Know you have Something On your Mind that Really Upsets you, n then in Private maybe over a Coke or a Walk you should Sit With hom and Ask him Questions about what you were Like when you were a Baby, and Was he there when you were Born, and Tell him that these ?'s are VERY important to you and then Tell him it Hurts you to now that he wouldnt pay more attention to the Day you wer Brought into this Earth

I am 26 years old, up until last year i cared what my father thought of me.
Growing up he never called me for my birthday, christmas or even just to see how i was going.
I have a list of things that my dad has done to me over the years and even recently for that matter, but i am going to give you the best advice that took me 25 years to figure out.
Care about the people who care about you.
Don't waste your love, time and efforts on someone who doesnt have the decency to do the same.
The amount of tears i have wasted on that man where not not worth it because there was always someone there who loved me whenever i turned around.
I know he is your father and of course you are going to be angry and hurt, all i am saying is that no-one is worth heartache, even a parent.
Surround yourself with people who do care about you, eventually you wont care about the people who dont care about you.

Don't sweat the small stuff he is a man and men don't remember stuff like that, go to him close to your birthday and say "hey dad I'm going to be what your age will be" and gently remind him have a conversation about what you are doing in your life and how long he has been your dad. Give him a hug tell him you love him, he wont be there forever.

The thing is,your dad has probably always relied on your mom to look after birthdays and stuff like that and as a man, never bothered to remember how old or when your bd even was. That's just how it is with most men.

Don't feel bad. Men are funny about stuff like that. My dad isn't even sure what day my birthday is---he knows the general time of the year but usually is off a day or two.
If your dad is a good dad and is there for you and your family and this is his worst offense you are lucky.

I wouldn't be pissed off because I have never known what age he is. I could give an estimate of how old he is but never the exact number. Age ain't nothing but a number, who cares if he knows what your age is?

No, let it go. Some people are just bad at things like that. My father didn't know my middle name, but he was still a fantastic Dad.

Why? He might just have problems with memorizing things like your age. I think it's pretty stupid to be mad at your dad for not remembering your age. There are more important things, such as if he loves you or not, than if he knows your age.

Are you kiddin'? As you grow into adulthood, you'll soon find out that a lot of men are like that ... they tend to forget special occasions ( days that we consider of utmost importance). My dad forgets his and mom's anniversary .. EVERY year. If I asked him how old I was, he'd probably be more than 5 years off my actual age. Don't take it to heart ... it doesn't mean that he doesn't care enough to remember ... it's just that men are fizz brains ... sometimes. It's easier for moms to remember their children's birth date ... it's forever SEARED into her memory ... lol.

My grandfather got me a really beautiful card about being 9 years old one year. Unfortunately, it was the year I turned 11. People forget things, even people who love you. They usually do the best that they can, so cut him some slack.
