Poor man. Anyone who says they have heared god speak to them is just schizophrenic. I am sorry there is no such thing. Don't let them tell u it is a little voice in your head, the diagnose shizophrenics the same way. think here in the real world.

There are SEVERAL answers and different degrees of anwers that can be given.
talking to God is the easiest part.
just start praying, daily prayers with faith and sincerity.
God wants a humble heart and a contrite spirit from us in this life. repentance and faith are a requirement of salvation too.
unlike the christian theology that says Gods love infinite and without end. there is another word to use but it eludes me.
Ok, the technical difficulties with "RECIEVING" answers i am sure has the requirement of the gift of some kind of telepathy. Some people are more prone to read minds than others. Well actually Most people dont know how to use telepathy.
Therefore, in the existence of spirit world. it is a theory that people chose their gifts and spiritual blessing according to the trials and temptations they THOUGHT they would NEED in this life. if the ability to have a GOD part of the brain where you can HEAR all the words of God were set on HIGH, lets say a # from 1 to 100, then those that choose the # 100 would probably also hear every spirit or voice that came upon them. and if they didnt know what it was, they would become mentally handicapped as well.
Oh ! doctor Im hearing voices, you would say. LOL,
You know they would put such a crazy person in a straight jacket. and prescribe some kind of large dose of medication.
Ok. to those that the # set to something more managable, like below 30 or 20! it would be considered a good gift and desirable to hear the voice of god answer prayers. but you would still get other voices and some confusion.
If you didnt want to be called crazy you would turn it off altogether but you would find something else in the ways of spiritual gifts. !!
like the gift of discernment, or a gift of knowledge that would allow you to hear the voice of a prophet who can talk to god and therefore you would gain the blessings of a prophet through the spirit and the servant that serves God and is Sent.
So it possible that you dont have your hearing ability turned up anything high.
but let it be know to you, that the bible does say that everyone ha a gift of the spirit.

God listens, the Angels listen.
God and the Angels doing God's work will talk to you in their own way when it's required. It's up to you to heed it and follow in the path. Free will. Can can chose not to look at what they show, go in the direction they prompt. As for what you are supposed to do, well God gave you a brain. God expects you to figure that one out for yourself.

The only way God will ever talk to you is through His Word and then only if you have believe and trusted that the Lord Jesus Christ died for your sins and that He rose again so you can just before God. 2 Timothy 2: 15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

God does not initiate communications with us. To do so would intimidate (scare) us so much that it would take away our free will. We would simply follow him out of fear.
If you are serious, simply find a place of privacy, and confess your previous disbelief or doubts about him. Then ask him to send you the Holy Spirit to witness to you. Witness what? well a variety of things 1. The existence of God, 2. Jesus' path to you going to Heaven , 3. The validity of a Bible verse.
Remember, in reality, god does not talk to us verbally (that's only in the movies), he communicates with us by mental telepathy.
When you start a conversation with God, it need not be verbally aloud, it can be simply by your thought waves (mental telepathy).
Good luck.
Do not be surprised if the Holy spirit witnesses to you mentally, emotionally, and even physically (chills of happiness up and down your spine).

He talks to you BUT you must first learn to listen I think one of the best ways to listen to God was in a movie the 10 Commandments with Charlton Heston. After he heard God speak to him at the Burning Bush he explained to his wife thusly, "He spoke to me in my mind's eye." God is that little voice inside of you that tells you......

God does not always answer us when we want him to. He will answer when it is time. Everything is according to his will. Also, God wiill not answer a person who is not filled with his spirit. He will not hear them because they have not been born again. Also, if you have iniquity in your heart God may not answer your prayers. God is merciful, and he can hear, but you have to make sure you do your part before he can hear you.

First of all you need to change your attitude, you cant make God do anything....He does listen, and hears you, try fasting, you will hear from him....God bless ya

talk to him through prayer. then listen with your heart not your ears. some answers God gives comes in dreams. that is usualy how i get my answers. you may not always like the answers you get but he will answer.
