If the dog is dragging his butt across the carpet and/or nipping back there and you're sure the dog does not have worms.

Dragging their butt on the floor is the bigest thing.
If you see them scooting on the floor have the vet express the glands and then also have them check for worms.

One sign is they drag thier butt across the floor... like they have an itch.
