Yes, I do believe in why you are there. When you (and I over my 20 year career) took the oaths upon entering the service of your country we decided to entrust ourselves to the decisions of the government and President.

That aside, the portion of the world you are now in is strategically very important to the future of the United States. It will not be easy for the citizens of Iraq or Afghanistan to create a workable democracy, but that type of government will be the best for them and for us and future generations. Remember, the actions the military takes is for the future benefit of the country, not for immediate benefits.

I really prayed that we would not get involved in Iraq, not because I thought Saddam was such a great guy, but because i thought, if he had WMD, why had he not used them? Our "allies" flat out told us they would not support us & we were leaving our Afgan friends hanging &, IMO, we are not doing all we can because of the war in Iraq. However, from the get-go, I always felt that if we did go in, we should not leave until the job is done. I fear for you guys and gals though. I heard a woman the other day on the radio whose son was on his 4th tour in Iraq and her other son was on his 3rd and I believe she had another child over there. I worry that you guys are being burned out, as well as your families. I know You all are all doing a hell of a job, I am grateful, so stay strong! At least THIS person supports you and the IDEA behind it all, even if things aren't turning out so well right now. I have faith though so keep up the good work and happy holidays to you and your buddies! -Teresa

Thank your for giving up your freedom for me and my family. I know it is not easy living love ones at home, but i do support the military 100%. Knowing that there are people like you out there fighting for our country I know that I can sleep safe at night.

I support our mission in Iraq. I am glad we took down Saddam and believe that the genocide perpetrated on the Kurds is reason enough.

I think our men and women of the armed forces are heroes and are smarter than the liberal elite give them credit.

I pray for you and I pray for the President.

Just curious.

What's your rank, home base, and unit? And where are you stationed out of in Iraq?

No offense, but I think you are a fake!

Allot of that crap on Yahoo. Makes the real troops look bad.

Go ahead. Tell us.

Yes I do agree with the reason that you are there in Iraq. Everybody keeps forgetting what what that tyrant was doing to his own people. I am a veteran of the navy, and believe me, I would take your spot if I wasn't to old to re-enlist... Good luck and make it home safely.

Yes, I agree with the why, but not the approach. I think that we should use less ground troops and start using BRUTE FORCE. There is no way to beat the fastest growing religion and sheer number of extremists other than to just nuke the hell out of em and teach them who is the world's leader in warfare. I give you and all of your comrads my highest regard and best wishes. The web sites below explain it better than I ever could.
