Best Sushi in San Diego has to be Cafe Japengo at the Aventine in La Jolla. I love sushi and I have been all around the county tasting. Simply the best sushi experience you will ever have.

My brother and his Japanese coworker went on a tuna fishing trip from San Diego. The Japanese guy came prepared for sushi....brought wasabi, ginger slices, etc
They caught tuna, and the Japanese guy cut the FRESH tuna and had sashimi right there on the deck. A bunch of people were crowding around watching.
