I learnt Moslems ruled Part of Europe for a loong time, did they allowed other religions to worship in peace? was it the peak of Islamic civilization, what other scientific inventions and achievements happened then?

Yes, actually while the rest of Europe was in the Dark Ages, Spain then ruled by Muslims, was the a vibrant centre of learning and culture, they had street lamps and sewage systems. They were fair, non-believers simply payed a protection tax and were allowed to practice however they felt.

Bulgaria was under the Turks for 500 years. The horror stories are endless. Large number of the population was forced with a gun/knife to accept Islam as religion, they were raping women, men & children, burning churches, robbing, killing etc., etc. I finished high school in Bulgaria & studied history there.
In art galeries in Bulgaria many pictures reflect that period & its difficult looking at them

1 million Romanian people were killed because they did not convert to Islam. This is only from one country in Europe.

for the one who said if u didnt believe in islam they cut heads off....thats incorrect.
if people did not believe in Islam, they still lived in peace but the non followers of Islam had to pay Jizyah (taxes for living in a Muslim land).

yes..for that we have to look at past books..wht they say abt them..but they may had allowed the people to worship their own relgion...for the inventins u can find it on the net..

The muslims were very fair. if you didn't believe in Islam, they just cut off your head and gave it to Allah as a token of their loyalty to him.
