I learnt Moslems ruled Part of Europe for a loong time, did they allowed other religions to worship in peace? was it the peak of Islamic civilization, what other scientific inventions and achievements happened then?

Muslims have apparently always allowed other religions to exist, it's just that a few extremists get carried away.
Other religions, however, have to pay a tax if required.
Also if it's an Islamic nation or controlled government all laws and courts are Islamic by nature. No other courts would be allowed. All crimes are covered by the Quran and nothing else.

Muslims ruled Spain for about 800 years. There were churches within the Mosques(also independent Churches) and Christain were free to do their services on Sundays.
Space is not enough to describe inventions and contribution of Muslims in science and other things.

They were quite a bit different n the seventh to the twelfth century. You are correct, they were fairly open and moved society along. The problem is their culture stopped. Currently in the middle east, they are still trying to live exactly the same way.

Pretty debatable but at the time I believe they were more tolerant than christians were.
They were famous for their acheivements in math and in particular the word algebra is from arabic.
A sticking point is that they had special tax for non-muslims to pay and some rules worse for non-muslims. some of these rules stll apply in some places.

Bulgaria was under the Turks for 500 years. The horror stories are endless. Large number of the population was forced with a gun/knife to accept Islam as religion, they were raping women, men & children, burning churches, robbing, killing etc., etc. I finished high school in Bulgaria & studied history there. In art galeries in Bulgaria many pictures reflect that period & its difficult looking at them

They were very great and fair rulers who allowed others to follow their own religion. They had three different court systems, one for Islamic Law, one for Christian Law, and one for the military.

when Muslims controlled Spain religious minorities like Jews were treated far better than they were under Christians before and after Muslim rule.
