My girlfriend just told me that she wants to move out. I felt there was something she wasn't telling me. I was suspicious of a close male friend that she's had for years, they communicate through email a lot and I always felt a little wierd about it and asked her a few times and she said there was nothing there and that I was just being overly jealous. Well today I found out that while I was out of town for work she made out with this guy. I know him and we're all mutual friends. I beat myself up for feeling jealous about this guy for so long and TRUSTED what she said to me about him, but now I feel that my sense was dead-on. She doesn't know that I know this, how should I confront her? Should I try and get her to tell me? Should I draw this out and use it to some advantage? I want to pulverize the guy, and I'm not a violent person at all — would that just make things worse? Or would she would she dig it? She's living with me now and I don't know how long I can hold it in.

We had just gotten back together after a 'time apart' where we were trying to repair things and I was trying to deal with trust issues I was having with her after that. She says she loves me, that I'm her best friend, but she hasn't admitted that anything happened.

Why do you want to have anything to do with a girl who would cheat on you? Why would you even speak to her after that?

First of all, IF she "cheated" on you then she absolutely can not be completly trusted now or ever. I would not be living with someone without a marriage anyway but I think you both need to be apart. Find someone that you can trust and begin by talking with them. That is the best way to get to know them. Go out for a movie and dinner. Walk and talk with her. Take her to a ballgame. MOST of ALL... spend time getting to know one another before anything else. I hope things work out. Have a safe and happy holiday.

Okay- so you can act on impulse and then regret or you can cut your losses and be the bigger person and move on. Making a bigger deal of it and drawing it out will serve no purpose other than letting everyone know how jilted you are. I say let her do her thing, she's the one that's gonna be hurt in the end with the way she's doing things...and if you just deal with things right now with yourself, and make a clean break she may eventually realize how good you were with her, hopefully before you have found someone else but tell me this: Would you/could you really see yourself being with someone you can't trust for the rest of yourlife? there are good girls out there. Be strong sweetie.

coming from a females perspective. she played you. she cannot be trusted anymore. your instincts were right the first time and im sure you know that its best you move on because even since you've made back up she had yhe chance to come clean and she didnt. i think she only came back for convenience of some sort. let the tramp go. she crossed the line and she will continue to drag you along and give us good woman a bad name. you sound like a good guy with some sense so use it.

does made out mean a buncha kissin' and carryin' on or does made out mean gettin' it on??
well, basically, which ever one she did, i know it's very hurtful isn't it!!
If you don't break up with her, this other guy will be laffin at you like "wow, i ****** his girl and he doesn't even know i got some"!! that's embarrassing for her to do that to you and also herself, she must be a hoe, sorry!!
hey, while she's gone, you should set out piles of her clothes neatly folded in front of your front door with a note attached to it that says "hope (the guy's name) has enough room for you!"

Um, you really deserve better. You told her you were jealous, and she said nothing was happening... and despite all that, she STILL made out with him while you were away. For your own sanity's sake... just leave her.
