Well I don't know their likes or dislikes, so I'm going to have to go general (hopefully its not abuse they are doing). If you stand up to them, chances that they might think ure a fool. Best thing to do is to live up higher than their expectations. If you are unable to then I don't know.

Ask yourself why. If you know that it is just a matter of control and that you are doing the best you can just let go. My husband's family are all very much control freaks. It is their way or no way. It took me a while, but now I agree with them and if I feel like it I do it their way, if not I stay away.
