What's the difference between the attire of Nuns and of Muslim Women?

Why do people make such a deal out of Muslim women that wear full veils? Isn't it a religious practice to show modesty? And the Nun's attire--isn't it also a religious practice to show modesty? Why is it worse for Muslim women? Someone explain this.

No difference, just that muslims are the scapegoat of the day.

Also, note that muslim women may wear anything from a full body covering to a nominal kerchief or even go bareheaded. Nuns may do the same, since Vatican ii.

It is not worse. I do not mind the practice of the veils. I think it's impractical when it is hot though and I do not think the veil over the face is all that necessary either. The biggest difference I think is that the nuns habit is to show a special relationship to God and the Muslim women do the veil thing because they have to. Also nuns wear Rosaries and Crucifixes.

Muslim woman supposed to wear clothes to protect her body and dignity from evil eyes and evil soles, and following tradition of wives of all prophets and Mother Mary, to obey instructions of Almighty God.
If Nuns in Chtistianity does with same reason then there is no defference.

It is nice to see, that you have made the connection, our women, most of them anyways are modest, isn't nice to know that your sisters in faith, are comparable to nuns. Maybe a sister can elaborate more.

And it isn't worse, only unethical (thats a nice word) people (ie Holland) where prostitution, drug use, and euthanasia are legal would make illegal a modest piece of attire..

1- Nuns are NOT being forced into it by the law or their family. Most nuns don't even cover their hair all the way.
2- I have NEVER seen a nun hide their face.

It is rude in western culture to hide you face. Since criminals often hide theirs it is also to be expected that people are going to have a problem with it. If Muslims don't want to be part of western culture WHY MOVE HERE. I can assure you I won't ever go to Saudi Arabia.
