GO FOR IT!!! Dorks need loving too. In all seriousness though, don't be afraid of what others may think if you like him or not. If youlike teh guy and he likes you, go for it.

You know what, if you're already the only one defending him, then what difference does it make? If you like him, give him a chance. No one deserves to be rejected just because other people are embarassed to be with them. Maybe even by being around you more maybe you can change him. A lot of good can come from relationships because you can both grow. Give it a shot.

If you really like him go for it. No matter what people say or think, he is probably a great guy. Don't let what other people say keep you from making your own decisions. You will never know or learn unless you try new things.

My wife says, "Go for it!" She says if you really like him, you'll learn to ignore what others think. If the two of you are happy together, you don't need anyone else. I don't know how she knows, though. We don't know any dorks.

My advice to you is go out with him. You shouldn't care what anyone thinks because no ones perfect. Usually, the hottest guys turn ugly and the dorky ones turn way hot.

If you like him, go out with him! Who cares what other people think. People who make fun of others are just insecure and do it to make themselves feel better. You don't have to explain your actions to anyone but yourself. Goof Luck!

That happened to me once. All my friends told me I was too good for him, but I went after him anyway, and it all blew up in my face. (He wasn't really interested in having a girlfriend at the time.) But since this guy asked you out, why not?

it sounds like you don't mind that others think he's a dork...really all that matters is how you feel...you're obviously a nice person so and if he asks you out again say what you really feel...and i think its 'yes'

I think you should do what your friends tell you to do. Let them pick your clothes for you, let them decide who you should go out with (I hope none of your friends are lesbian so you dont have to date girls!). You should let them decide your whole life for you, even who you marry someday and what job you should get.
