My 6 year old son was found touching private parts with a playmate what do I do?

My parents watch my 6 year old little boy when I work on weekends and tonight my father opened the play room door and found the neighbor boy, who is also 6, with his pants down and my son was hiding in the closet. My father told the little boy to go home and he went to talk to the father of a different neighbor boy about the situation. That neighbor called the police and after talking to my son and the other boy, they discovered that the boys have done this before and they rub their penises together and their butts. My son told me that they do it in the closet and they do it in the bed because thats what the little boy said to do! It was the little boys idea but since he did it to my son, my son told me that he did it to the other neighbor boy! Please help me, I am beside myself...I am so distraught I dont know what to do, when I asked my son why he continues to do it he told me that he likes to do it! I am a wreck! I dont want my son to be messed up! How do I handle this??

1st of all take a DEEP BREATH.
He's NOT going to be messed up!
Little boys are FASCINATED with their privates. and even like to show it off...(my son used to love to do that at his daycare center).
You just have to make him understand that what he is doing with the other little boy is wrong.
But you have to do it in a calm and loving way.
I used to tell my sons that the ONLY persons that was to be able to see his private was Mommy, Daddy, or the DR.
Yes, talking to the other parent was the right thing to do.
Calling the POLICE was just plain crazy...these are little boys for heavens sake.
Children are naturally curious, and the human body, well it grows right in frount of them.
So they are going to touch, and yes, even want to see what their friends look like.
He will grow out of this.....

i understand your situation but just talk to your child tell him that that is his private spot and no one but you dad and the doctor can touch him there and don't get mad at him this will only make him do it again answer any question he might have and answer them correctly and last kids will be kids and that's the way the learn about their bodies by exploring them self and other of the same sex as well as the opposite

Well, you need to think "where did that little boy learn it from?" My guess is that he "the little boy" was molested, someone should look into this!

Calling the police was NOT crazy. NO, the little boys did not know what they where doing, but it still needed to be corrected. Yes, it is natural to be curious, but that is not correct behaovior and that was NOT natural

NO, your son is not abnormal OR messed up, he just needs to be talked to, and that little boy also needs to be talked to and it should be figured out where he learned it from

First, you have to tell him that this is NOT a good thing to do. Maybe show him a book or something. you also have to learn to forgive him. Go to consuling with or without your son if you really need to.

yea, even when I was 7, I was facinated with my size and other guy's sizes, I grew out of it when I hit puberty 3 yrs latyer
