They both contain alcohol, so they work the same. Save the drama and wash your hands regularly and don't be such a germ-phobe.

I feel the sanitizer works better because it has alcohol in it which kills germs and the wipes may not have as much alcohol on them because they're absorbent and the news had a segment on hand sanitizer along with a microscope to see if the germs were gone and sanitizer worked just as well or better than soap and water.

Hand Sanitizer works better than wipes because it has alcohol that dehydrates microbes on your hands and kills them.
Soap and Water however, kills and removes them from your hands. So if you have a choice go with the soap and water. If you don't have a choice use hand sanitizer :D.

Both kill germs, wipes can get stuff OFF the hands as opposed to sanitizer which just kills germs on the hands but doesn't get rid of dirt etc.
